Session Summary
During the pandemic outbreak, everything has been disrupted; however, massive life loss along with restricted business and social life has already scared enormous and long-lasting social, economic and anthropogenic impact. In Bangladesh, already more than 1,900 people have died and about 158,000 people have been infected. Being one of the most highly dense countries in the world with a significant portion of people lives below the poverty level,
addressing the adverse impacts of Covid-19 in Bangladesh is very challenging. To combat and cope with such multi-dimensional disasters a robust disaster management approach, sustainable rehabilitation plan and effective adaptation measures are necessary.
In this context, geospatial science and technology known as “Geoinformatics” has strong capability to serve as a disaster management tool for the decision and policymakers, disaster managers, humanitarian worker, and rehabilitation planer
